Because this is a beta, not all of the map is finnished and therefore there's a barrier in place so you know that you have reached the point of build (the barrier has no physics (that means you can go thru it (and if you needed that explaining, you probably shouldn't be modding games just yet)) so you can still have a look at what I'm doing (and this should prevent sugestions like "Why don't you put a bridge in there?" - you will see that there's one in there); you get the idea. Zone 2 (Newfield Heights) is now open and you can now access the NCPD HQ, the FDNC Station along with the County General. There's a gas station, an 8 story parking lot, more Apartment blocks (Harlem style) Beta - 5.2 Addition: Train Station and Rail Depot. Downtown is still unfinished; City Hall, a few sky scrapers and a BRIDGE. There are a few (by few, I mean a LOT) nasty surprizes in there to pick out all the newbies (you know who you are) and traps (once you're caught, you'll never get out (unless you kill yourself - or someone does it for you)). REMEMBER: YOU MAY FEAR YOUR OPPONENTS, BUT THE MAPPER WILL BE THE ONE THAT KILLS YOU IN THE END. - STAY CLEAR OF HOLES, DARK AREAS, OPEN AREAS, ALLY-WAYS BURNING BUILDINGS, AND FOR SAKE OF ALL THAT IS "UNREAL ENGINE" STAY OUT OF BUILDINGS COVERED IN BLOOD. About 4 Static meshes are not visable. I can't seem to fix it (Probably a zone problem). Floating buildings in places, There is at least 1 "floating" building. I forgot to place a kerb around the building's base (and realized AFTER I raytraced (calculated the lighting to all you non-eds out there) the whole map; and if you think I'm spending another 2 hours raytracing for just one building, you should seek help - I'll fix it by Beta 6 (the final Beta Release) AI doesn't work properly. The full AI paths will be complete in Beta 6. Telefraging (spawning onto another player and killing him). Another stupid problem that seems to have no reason for existing - or the solution eludes me. Spider-spawning (every one spawns at one point - and looks like a spider). This may happen, yet another stupid problem that seems to have no reason for existing - or again the solution eludes me. Wrong texture sizes in places. I messed up and accidently set all of the map's textures to 50% their original size and had to rescale almost every texture on the map. I think I got all the textures, but if you see any wierdly sized textures, email me (with "MoFo" in the subject box) or drop a post on the forum: (www.MobileForces.org ► Community Forum ► Developer's Den ► MF-Newfield). Try to stay in the map area and you should be fine. This map is still under construction so it will look incomplete in areas. Some testers report errors when loading, this can sometimes be fixed by downloading the MoBall game type by Liam Haynes at www.mobileforces.org. You may also need the KnifeFight mod (same URL) the AI paths are incomplete too (better against human players for now) Error message "CONNECTION FAILED" Fuck Knows why. - At this point, I care about as much as I give a shit.
